about

This is Volume 2 in the series of resurrected and reanimated modules and module fragments from the Xylocaine/Nasenbluten glory days of 1993 to 2001. Since Volume 1 was released an effort to backup and save Protracker mods from old and increasingly mouldy floppy disks has been undertaken. Unlike Volume 1 and the Old Rope 7” series (spearheaded by Mark Newlands), tracks have been retrieved from old media and then re-recorded and re-assembled using Renoise and Acid software. The results are cleaner and more dynamically interesting, but the Amiga crunch and hiss is somewhat attenuated. There was also scope to apply some complexity and depth to simple proto mods that never quite made it. Underpant is the odd one out here as it was actually one of the few Fasttracker mods that survived from the brief period where I dabbled with this software. Will there be a Volume 3? Fuck knows…
Massive thanks to Croy, Mark, Saul and Huck.
